Meet Dr. Mel Collazo

After graduating from the University of Arkansas, Dr. Collazo received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri. He was then chosen by the University of California at Los Angeles to complete his specialty training where he graduated at the top of his class.

Well respected by his peers, Dr. Collazo has served on numerous orthodontic boards and has also served as the president of the Arkansas Association of Orthodontists. During the past twelve years, Dr. Collazo has served on the Board of Directors of many distinguished organizations, including the Foundation for Orthodontic Research. Currently, he is a highly regarded lecturer and consultant for one of the world's leading manufacturers of orthodontic supplies and orthodontic diagnostics. He lectures on a national and international basis to share his expertise to fellow orthodontists, physicians and other healthcare providers. In addition, he is a part-time faculty member at UCLA's Department of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and their affiliate organizations. In addition to his fellowships in national organizations, he is actively involved with family and community.
