Initial Exam and Records

We look forward to meeting you at your initial visit.  This appointment will include an examination to determine if orthodontic treatment is necessary and a consultation with Dr. Collazo.  Since each patient's care is special and unique, Dr. Collazo will evaluate your treatment concerns and answer all your questions at this initial appointment.

Typically a separate “records appointment” is necessary to determine the best course of orthodontic treatment.

For your added convenience, we include these diagnostic records at your initial  exam appointment.  Diagnostic records typically consist of a clinical examination, diagnostic photos of the patient’s face and teeth, and diagnostic x-rays. We utilize the latest in digital radiography and digital imaging to present you with a completely customized, personal treatment plan. We take a genuine interest in each and every patient we meet and hope to make your orthodontic experience a truly memorable one.

Regular Appointments

After Dr. Collazo has thoroughly evaluated your diagnostic records and it is determined that orthodontic treatment is necessary, you will be given the opportunity to schedule your next appointment to have your appliances (braces, expanders, etc) placed. The appointment time to have the appliances placed varies depending on the recommended course of orthodontic treatment. After this initial appointment you will be seen at regular intervals for adjustments every six to eight weeks.

As a courtesy to all patients, we have available an automated appointment reminder service. This computerized system will text and/or email a message confirming your appointment day and time. Simply provide us with your cell phone number and email. Please be advised, if there is a power outage or computer failure, there may not be an appointment reminder via text or e-mail.
